The City of Raleigh will host the 2nd Annual Raleigh Small Business Connect, on May 7, 2019, in partnership with Carolina Small Business Development Fund, Women’s Business Center of NC, Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce and Wake Technical Community College. Registration is free and open until May 5.

On Wednesday, March 20, City of Raleigh Mayor Nancy McFarlane​ welcomed local, regional, state, and national leaders to an event where the report Want to Grow North Carolina’s Economy? Fix the Child Care Crises was released. The report was written by ReadyNation, a global nonprofit that leverages the experience, influence, and expertise of more than 2,000 business executives to promote public policies and programs that build a stronger workforce and stronger economy.

On Saturday, March 9, members of Raleigh’s Office of Economic Development and Innovation team and area partner organizations head to Austin, TX for the annual South by Southwest Interactive Tradeshow and Festival. The purpose of the trip is to host a booth at the Interactive Tradeshow which will feature a new activation at SXSW, asking attendees to “Picture Yourself in Raleigh.”
