In October, the City of Raleigh’s Office of Economic Development & Innovation (Raleigh ED&I) collaborated with Capital Area Workforce Development Board (CAWD), Wake County Economic Development (WCED), and the North Carolina Technology Association (NC Tech) to host an IT roundtable discussion regarding the critical IT workforce needs of regional businesses. CAWD Board Member and Principal Engagement Manager of Global Security Intelligence with SAS, Rodney Carson, moderated the panel discussion with participation from industry representatives that allowed workforce partners to gain valuable insights on how to address IT talent needs across local industry. Leaders in IT from Biogen, Lenovo, Advanced Auto, WakeMed, Hire Networks, the City of Raleigh and Wake County Government were in attendance.
