Raleigh ED&I Business Retention and Expansion Managers, Jenn Bosser and Tiffany Hall McNeill, received the distinguished designation of Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) from the International Economic Development Council in December. The certification is the leading industry designation for the economic development industry, representing a mastery of principal skills in economic development, professional attainment and a commitment to personal and professional growth. Recipients of the certification must have at least 5 years’ experience in economic development, successfully complete professional development coursework, then pass a comprehensive three-part exam demonstrating knowledge, proficiency and judgement in key areas of economic development, including business retention and expansion, marketing, finance, workforce development, community development, real estate, strategic planning, technology-led economic development and management.
